Hospital Wanita dan Kanak-Kanak Sabah (HWKKS), spanning 25.05 acres, originated from the acquisition of Sabah Medical Center in 2003. Positioned 7.8 km from Kota Kinabalu, it evolved into a specialized facility with Phase 1 services inaugurated in 2005. Renamed on August 9, 2009, HWKKS boasts the first Nuclear Medicine Center in Sabah, unveiled in 2014 by Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Bin Haji Aman, Chief Minister of Sabah.
