Founded in 1993, Metro Specialist Hospital, initially known as Bersatu Medical Centre, was the first private hospital in Sungai Petani. In 1996, it was officially renamed Metro Specialist Hospital and inaugurated by the then Minister of Health, Dato’ Chua Jui Meng.
