Permai Polyclinics Group was established in 1993 by Datuk Dr. James Jeremiah in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. The name “Permai” reflects harmony, while “Polyclinics” signifies a multi-disciplinary approach to healthcare.

Recognizing the growing demand for accessible, timely, and personalized medical services among the public and corporate sector employees, Datuk Dr. James opened the first branch—Permai Polyclinics Kota Kinabalu—in September 1997. From its humble beginnings, the clinic grew rapidly, driven by the Founder’s vision to make quality healthcare services available across communities in Sabah. This vision laid the foundation for the creation of the Permai Polyclinics Group.

To meet the increasing demand, the Group strategically expanded its presence, opening branches across key localities to ensure both convenience and efficiency for its patients. Today, Permai Polyclinics Group operates 37 branches across Sabah, Johor, and Kedah.

With a steadily growing patient base, the Group is confident in its capability and commitment to meet the healthcare needs of Malaysians. In line with this, Permai Polyclinics is actively preparing for national expansion, extending its services beyond current regions.

Looking ahead, guided by the Founder’s vision, the Group aspires to bring the Permai brand of quality healthcare not only to every major city and town in Malaysia but also to neighboring countries in Southeast Asia.
