Resolving Common Technical Issues
Changing Email, Phone Number or Password
– Email: To change your email simply update your email in your profile section (which you filled up after signing up) and click on “Save Profile”
– Phone Number: To change your email simply update your phone number in your profile section (which you filled up after signing up) and click on “Save Profile”
– Change Password: To change your password navigate to your profile, on the side bar click on “Settings” and then click on “Change Password” to update your password. You can also change your password by clicking on “Forgot Password” when logging in.
Troubleshooting Login Problems, Loading Errors, Notification Issues
To fix common website issues follow the steps outlined below:
1. Application Errors: Make sure you’re connected to the internet. Fill all the boxes in the form and try a different web browser or your phone.
2. Profile Update Issues: Clear your web browser’s history and make sure you’ve filled in everything correctly.
3. Job Alert Problems: Check your email settings and look in your spam folder. Make sure you set your job alerts the way you want them on the website.
4. Document Upload Problems: Check if your files (like your resume) are not too big and are saved in a format the website accepts (like PDF).
5. Search Problems: Clear your web browser’s history and make sure you’re typing the job details correctly.
6. Notification Delays: Check your internet and your email settings. Sometimes, you might need to check the website yourself.
7. Chat or Feedback Issues: Clear your web browser’s history and try using a different web browser.
8. Page Errors: Refresh the page, check your internet, and clear your web browser’s history.
9. Login Problems: Make sure you’re typing your username and password correctly. If it still doesn’t work, you might need to reset your password.
10. Broken Links: Refresh the page and clear your web browser’s history. If it still doesn’t work, let the website’s support team know.
11. Slow Website: Clear your web browser’s history, close other tabs you don’t need, and try at a time when the internet might be less busy.
When and How to Clear Cache or Update Browser Settings
If you are facing issues where a job description looks different than what you saw earlier, or if a job post is missing, or your profile content seems outdated despite you having updated it. You might be experiencing issues with your browser cache. To clear your browser cache follow the following steps depending on your browser:
– For Chrome: Click the three dots in the top right corner, select ‘More tools’ > ‘Clear browsing data’, choose the time range and check ‘Cached images and files’, then click ‘Clear data’.
– For Firefox: Click the menu button, choose ‘Options’, select ‘Privacy & Security’, under ‘Cookies and Site Data’ click ‘Clear Data’, check ‘Cached Web Content’, then click ‘Clear’.
– For Safari: Go to ‘Safari’ in the menu bar, choose ‘Preferences’, select the ‘Advanced’ tab, check ‘Show Develop menu in menu bar’, from the menu bar select ‘Develop’, and then choose ‘Empty Caches’.
– For Edge: Click the three dots in the top right corner, Select ‘Settings’, then ‘Privacy, search, and services’. Under ‘Clear browsing data’, click ‘Choose what to clear’. Select ‘Cached images and files’ and any other data you wish to clear. Click ‘Clear now’.
If a page is not appearing as you think it is or some data seems to be outdated/wrong we recommend trying the above steps to clear your cache.
Deleting Your Account
– You can delete your account in your profile
– Navigate to the side bar in your profile and click on “Settings”
– Click on “Delete Account” to delete your account
