Job Description

Genesis Life Care is a leading residential aged-care provider in Malaysia, operating government-approved (JKM) care centres across the Klang Valley and Johor Bahru. We are looking for a dedicated Resident Medical Officer (RMO) to join our growing team in Kajang and Klang.

This is an excellent opportunity for a doctor who enjoys providing continuous, hands-on medical care to elderly residents in a supportive environment, with predictable working hours and no overnight on-call duties.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct medical assessments and develop care plans for new and existing residents.
Conduct regular ward rounds and monitor residents’ health conditions.
Diagnose and manage medical conditions, including wound care.
Prescribe medications and develop appropriate treatment plans.
Review laboratory and investigation results.
Arrange specialist referrals and coordinate follow-up care when required.
Provide lifestyle and health guidance to residents and their families.
Mentor and provide clinical guidance to nursing and care staff.
Conduct bedside teaching and support staff training.
Act as a trusted medical point of contact for residents and their families.
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with medical protocols, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements
MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical qualification from a recognised institution.
Registered with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC).
Must hold a valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
Minimum 2 years of relevant clinical experience.
Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Able to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.
Passionate about providing quality care to elderly residents.
Willing to work at Kajang or Klang, Klang Valley.
Ability to communicate in Mandarin and/or local dialects is an added advantage.
