Medical Laboratory Technologist
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our laboratory team. The successful candidate will perform clinical laboratory testing, ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results, maintain laboratory equipment, and support the delivery of high-quality diagnostic services.
Key Responsibilities
Perform a wide range of clinical laboratory tests in accordance with established laboratory procedures.
Ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results by conducting routine quality control activities.
Perform calibration, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of laboratory instruments and testing systems.
Record and report laboratory findings accurately and in a timely manner.
Adhere to laboratory quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain laboratory equipment, reagents, and supplies to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Collaborate with pathologists, laboratory staff, and other healthcare professionals to provide quality diagnostic services.
Carry out additional duties and responsibilities assigned by the Laboratory Manager or Regional Laboratory Manager.
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Biomedical Science, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of clinical laboratory experience is preferred.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Willing to work on rotating shifts and participate in on-call duties.
Phlebotomy skills will be an added advantage.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
