Position Summary

The Resident Medical Officer will be responsible for delivering comprehensive primary care services, managing acute and chronic medical conditions, performing clinical procedures, and supporting preventive healthcare initiatives. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, clinically competent, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of medical practice.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care & Consultation

Conduct comprehensive outpatient consultations, assessments, and treatments.
Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions.
Prescribe medications and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
Perform medical procedures in accordance with clinical guidelines and best practices.
Independently perform antenatal ultrasound scans and provide prenatal care support.

Patient Education & Counseling

Deliver professional medical advice and health counseling to patients.
Promote preventive healthcare, wellness, and healthy lifestyle practices.
Support patients in understanding their medical conditions and treatment options.

Clinical Operations

Participate in rostered clinic shifts and ensure efficient patient flow.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to deliver seamless patient care.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Quality & Professional Development

Uphold clinical governance, patient safety, and ethical medical standards.
Stay updated with current medical advancements and clinical best practices.
Contribute positively to a collaborative and patient-friendly healthcare environment.
Qualifications
Registered with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC).
Possess a valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
Demonstrated ability to perform antenatal ultrasound scans independently.
ENT clinical experience or procedural skills will be considered an added advantage.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
