CLINIC ASSISTANT
Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and customer-oriented Clinic Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will support daily clinic operations, provide excellent patient care, assist doctors during consultations, and help ensure a smooth and efficient experience for every patient.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily clinic operations to ensure efficient patient flow.
Register patients, verify personal information, and coordinate the patient queue.
Deliver professional and friendly frontline customer service.
Schedule appointments, send follow-up reminders, and respond to patient inquiries.
Assist doctors during consultations, examinations, and minor medical procedures.
Prepare consultation rooms, medical equipment, and clinical supplies.
Perform basic clinical assessments, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse rate, and oxygen saturation (SpO₂).
Conduct basic diagnostic tests such as urine analysis, urine pregnancy tests (UPT), and blood glucose testing under supervision.
Assist with medication dispensing under the guidance of the doctor or senior clinical staff.
Monitor inventory levels of medications and clinic consumables, and report replenishment needs.
Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the clinic management system.
Process billing, collect payments, and issue receipts.
Ensure the clinic environment is clean, organized, and compliant with healthcare hygiene standards.
Requirements
Minimum SPM qualification; a Diploma in Healthcare, Nursing, Medical Assistant, or a related field is an added advantage.
Fresh graduates and candidates with 0–2 years of experience are encouraged to apply.
Previous experience in a GP clinic or knowledge of clinic operations will be an advantage.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centred approach.
Able to work on shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Responsible, reliable, proactive, and able to learn quickly.
