Orthopaedics Specialist / Consultant

Job Responsibilities:

• Proficient in various surgical procedures, with expertise in Total Knee Replacement and Total Hip Replacement.
• Thoroughly examine, diagnose, and treat musculoskeletal diseases and injuries.
• Prescribe treatment plans for patients with various orthopedic conditions and perform necessary surgeries.
• Supervise direct patient care, which includes non-surgical treatment options.
• Design and implement disease prevention and health promotion programs.
• Maintain authority over medical units as per legal and regulatory guidelines.
• Engage in medical research related to new orthopedic injuries or conditions, and take part in the education and training of fellow medical professionals.
• Respond promptly and effectively to on-call schedules.
• Provide outpatient and clinic consultation services.
• Keep comprehensive patient records, documenting symptoms, medications, and treatment outcomes.
• Fulfill any other delegated duties and responsibilities.

Requirements:

• Possession of a Master’s degree in Orthopedics, with the completion of a related field fellowship considered an advantage.
• Valid license and certification for medical practice.
• A minimum of 2 years of full-time experience as an orthopedic surgeon.
• Full registration as a Medical Doctor with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC), inclusion in the National Specialist Register (NSR), and a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
• Age between 35 and 45 years.
• Location: Mahkota Medical Centre, Melaka.
