Job Description

Klinik ZENMED Setapak is looking for a Resident Doctor who is patient-centred, responsible, and interested in growing within a primary care clinic setting.

This role is suitable for a doctor with at least 1 year of GP / primary care experience who is confident in managing common outpatient cases, communicating clearly with patients, and supporting continuity of care through follow-up, NCD screening, wound care, and health education.

We are looking for someone who understands that a resident doctor is not just here to see patients, but to help build trust, improve patient experience, and contribute to clinic growth in a structured and professional environment.

Key Highlights
– Applications are open to MALAYSIAN RESIDENTS ONLY
– Basic Salary: RM8,000 – RM9,000/month
– Working hours: 45 hours/week
– Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 6:00pm
– Benefits: EPF, SOCSO, EIS, annual leave, medical leave as per employment terms
– Minimum requirement: At least 1 year GP / primary care clinic experience
– Start Date: 1st July 2026
– Fresh graduates will not be considered

Required Qualifications
– Fully registered medical doctor
– Valid MMC registration
– Valid APC
– Completed compulsory service
– Minimum 1 year experience in GP / private clinic / primary care setting
– Able to manage common outpatient cases independently
– Good documentation and safe prescribing practice

Preferred Experience
– Wound care experience
– Minor procedures experience
– NCD management experience
– Health screening counselling
– Basic women’s health / antenatal exposure
– Basic ultrasound exposure is an added advantage
– Comfortable with patient education and follow-up care
– Open to social media / educational content involvement

– Warm, patient-centred, and empathetic
– Able to build rapport with first-time patients
– Not “touch-and-go” consultation style
– Good listener with clear explanation skills
– Responsible and accountable
– Able to receive feedback professionally
– Comfortable working with clinic KPIs and patient retention goals
– Understands that resident doctor role includes continuity of care, not just seeing acute cases
– Team-oriented and respectful toward clinic staff

Key Responsibilities
– Outpatient consultations
– Proper history-taking and physical examination
– Full vital signs review for patients
– NCD screening and follow-up
– Health screening counselling
– Wound care and minor procedures where competent
– Safe and appropriate prescribing
– Patient education and lifestyle advice
– Follow-up planning and continuity of care
– Basic operational coordination when needed
– Support corporate / community outreach programmes
– Participate in educational content where appropriate
