Nursing Assistant

As a Nursing Assistant at Fe Del Mundo Medical Center, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of patient care and ensuring a positive healthcare experience for our patients. Responsibilities:

• Assist registered nurses and other healthcare professionals in providing basic patient care.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, and feeding.
• Monitor and record vital signs under the supervision of nursing staff.
• Ensure a clean and safe patient environment, including maintaining rooms and common areas.
• Assist in the transport of patients to various hospital departments as needed.
• Collect and label specimens for laboratory testing.
• Provide comfort and emotional support to patients and their families.
• Assist in the maintenance of patient records and documentation.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Assistant training program is preferred.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology and patient care principles.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a plus.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is desirable but not required.
