Job Description

The Cardiovascular Technologist will conduct tests on the pulmonary or cardiovascular systems of patients for diagnostic purposes. The Cardiovascular Technologist may also conduct or assist in electrocardiograms, cardiac catheterizations, pulmonary functions, lung capacity, and similar tests.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Perform non-invasive diagnostic tests such as electrocardiograms (ECGs), echocardiograms, and stress tests to assess patients’ heart and vascular health
  • Operate and maintain complex medical equipment used in cardiovascular testing, such as ultrasound machines and cardiac monitors
  • Monitor patients during testing, observing for any adverse reactions or changes in condition that may require immediate attention
  • Record and analyze test results, preparing detailed reports for physicians and other healthcare professionals
  • Educate patients about procedures, answering questions and addressing concerns to help alleviate anxiety and ensure their comfort
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and technicians, to ensure proper patient care and effective communication of test results
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control procedures to prevent the spread of disease and ensure the safety of patients and staff
  • Stay up-to-date on advancements in cardiovascular technology, attending training sessions and continuing education courses to maintain proficiency and knowledge in the field.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

  • 13th month salary
