Safety Officer

The Medical City Pangasinan is seeking an experienced and dedicated Safety Officer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations within the hospital. This includes monitoring site conditions, maintaining safety standards, and leading initiatives to promote a culture of safety across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct regular safety audits across hospital facilities in accordance with the annual safety plan.

Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting best practices, unsafe acts or conditions, and their associated risks.

Recommend and implement corrective actions to address identified safety concerns.

Collaborate with departments such as Facilities, Security, Housekeeping, and the Hospital Infection Control and Epidemiology Center to develop safety improvements.

Perform safety assessments upon departmental requests to identify and resolve safety-related issues.

Qualifications and Skills

Education: Bachelor’s degree (with Safety Officer 2 Certification required).

Experience:

Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience in safety management, ideally within healthcare or similar industries.

Basic supervisory or team coordination experience (minimum 6 months).

Skills & Competencies:

Strong understanding of local occupational safety and health standards.

Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Proficient in conducting audits and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
