About the Role

WhiteCoat is seeking a compassionate and experienced Paediatrician to join its medical team in Singapore, reporting directly to the Chief Medical Officer.

In this role, you will provide comprehensive paediatric care through both in-person consultations at the WhiteCoat Clinic and teleconsultations via the WhiteCoat platform and app. Remote consultation shifts may be available, subject to operational and clinical requirements.

You will manage a diverse range of acute and chronic childhood conditions, monitor children’s growth and development, and work closely with parents and caregivers to ensure safe, effective and patient-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose, assess and manage acute and chronic paediatric conditions, including common childhood illnesses and ongoing health concerns.

Monitor children’s growth and development, and provide age-appropriate immunisation and screening services.

Develop individualised treatment and care plans, order and interpret diagnostic investigations, and refer patients to paediatric subspecialists when required.

Prescribe and dispense medications in accordance with Singapore Medical Council (SMC) guidelines and applicable Ministry of Health (MOH) and Healthcare Services Act requirements.

Communicate clearly and compassionately with children, parents and caregivers, adapting consultations to each child’s age and needs.

Maintain accurate, confidential and up-to-date electronic medical records in accordance with clinic policies and Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).

Manage clinical administrative responsibilities, including investigation-result follow-ups, medical reports and medication inventory recommendations.

Maintain high standards of infection prevention, child safeguarding and clinical governance, promptly escalating concerns about potential abuse or neglect.

Conduct teleconsultations when clinically appropriate, ensuring patient safety and continuity of care.

Collaborate with the wider healthcare team to deliver comprehensive and coordinated paediatric services.

Requirements and Qualifications

Full registration with the Singapore Medical Council (SMC).

Specialist accreditation in Paediatrics through the Specialist Accreditation Board (SAB) and/or applicable Singapore Ministry of Health requirements.

Relevant clinical experience in a paediatric clinic or hospital setting.

Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills, including the ability to identify emergencies and cases requiring in-person assessment or specialist referral.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with children, parents and caregivers.

A compassionate, professional and patient-centred approach to healthcare delivery.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Commitment to clinical safety, professional ethics, confidentiality and continuous improvement.
