Job Description

We are looking for a responsible and patient-focused Medical Officer to join our team. The role involves providing medical care to patients in the A&E Department, health screening services and inpatient wards.

Key Responsibilities
Assess, diagnose and treat patients attending the A&E Department.
Manage common emergency and acute medical conditions and arrange referrals when required.
Conduct medical consultations, examinations and follow-up care.
Perform health screening assessments and review screening results.
Review laboratory, radiology and other investigation reports.
Explain medical findings to patients and provide appropriate counselling.
Provide health education, preventive care and lifestyle advice.
Conduct daily ward rounds and monitor admitted patients.
Review patients, follow up investigations and update treatment plans.
Attend to inpatient emergencies and provide timely medical care.
Assist with patient admissions, transfers and discharges.
Maintain accurate and timely medical records and clinical documentation.
Work closely with Consultants, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
Participate in clinical activities and quality improvement programmes.
Follow hospital policies, clinical guidelines and patient safety standards.
Perform other clinical duties as assigned by the Head of Department or Medical Director.

Job Requirements
MBBS or equivalent recognised medical degree.
Registered with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC).
Must have a valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
Completed housemanship and obtained full MMC registration.
Experience in A&E, Emergency Medicine, General Practice or Health Screening is an advantage.
Good clinical, communication and decision-making skills.
Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Caring, responsible and committed to providing quality patient care.
Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays when required.
