Cardiovascular Technologist– Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CVT)

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist in operations of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory under the supervision of a Cardiologist.
• Manage staff roster and case scheduling, ensuring systematic organization for efficient use of rooms and minimized patient waiting time.
• Comply with policies, procedures, national and cardiology regulations and standards for patient care and safety.
• Maintain quality control and equipment maintenance, minimizing wastage and ensuring regular checks and reporting malfunctions.
• Produce images of optimum diagnostic quality.
• Prepare and assist in IVUS, IABP insertion, and cardiac pacing procedures.
• Perform vascular access removal, groin management, venepuncture, intravenous drug administration, and emergency resuscitation.
• Monitor patient’s haemodynamic status, vital signs and perform blood gas analysis during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Document patient records timely and accurately observing protocols to ensure compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act and patient confidentiality.
• Address patient queries regarding the procedures, ensuring their understanding and comfort.
• Perform ECG, Stress Test, Ambulatory ECG monitoring, Ambulatory BP monitoring, Echocardiogram, and Stress Echocardiogram (Exercise and Pharmacology Stress).

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Nursing or other Allied Health Profession.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in non-invasive and invasive cardiovascular laboratory.
• On-call readiness after office hours and weekends.
• Excellent observation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work harmoniously as a team player.
