Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Officer to support daily clinical operations and deliver high-quality, patient-centred care. The role involves medical consultation, preventive healthcare, quality improvement, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive medical care, consultation, counselling, and interpretation of medical results.
Monitor patients and provide appropriate general care across inpatient, outpatient, and health programme settings.
Conduct health education programmes, medical workshops, and preventive healthcare initiatives.
Assess patients and make appropriate referrals to specialist services when required.
Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and medical and non-medical teams to ensure efficient and quality healthcare delivery.
Maintain high standards of infection control, patient safety, confidentiality, and professional care.
Support medication-related and other medical matters in coordination with relevant departments.
Lead and implement Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance programmes within the department.
Familiarise with and effectively use Hospital/Clinical Information Systems (HIS/CIS).
Perform scheduled on-call duties, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Work closely with management to identify opportunities to improve healthcare services and patient experience.
Administrative & Leadership Responsibilities:
Ensure adequate availability of medical supplies and equipment within the department.
Prepare required daily, weekly, monthly, and annual clinical reports.
Support recruitment and selection of medical staff when required.
Develop and monitor departmental KPIs to drive performance and service excellence.
Lead and manage Medical Officers to ensure efficient operations and adequate staffing coverage.
Contribute to the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of departmental services.
