Job Description

Pantai Hospitals is seeking a dedicated and competent Resident Medical Officer (RMO) to join our Health Screening Centre (HSC). This role is responsible for delivering high-quality medical care, managing patient flow efficiently, and ensuring optimal clinical outcomes through professional and patient-centered practices.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical & Patient Care

Provide timely medical attention to patients based on triage prioritization
Perform clinical assessments, diagnosis, and appropriate treatment plans
Carry out medical procedures and emergency-related interventions with competence
Ensure continuity of care for patients within the Health Screening Centre and wards when required

Operations & Management

Oversee and manage the daily operations of the Health Screening Centre (HSC)
Ensure efficient coordination between medical and nursing teams
Monitor and maintain high standards of patient care and service delivery

Collaboration & Communication

Maintain effective communication with Consultants regarding patient management
Communicate patient conditions clearly and professionally to patients and their families (with consent)
Work collaboratively with nursing and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care

Documentation & Compliance

Accurately document medical findings, investigations, treatments, and communications
Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information and medical records
Adhere to hospital policies, clinical protocols, and professional ethical standards

Professional Accountability

Demonstrate responsibility and accountability for all clinical decisions and actions
Recognize personal limitations and seek guidance when necessary
Ensure all procedures, including IV infusions, are carried out safely and responsibly
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and/or Surgery (MBBS or equivalent)
Possess a valid and current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
Strong clinical knowledge in general medicine, patient assessment, and medical procedures
Ability to handle emergency situations confidently and effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Professional, responsible, and detail-oriented with strong ethical standards
