Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and patient-centered Medical Officer to join our healthcare team in Bintulu, Sarawak on a 1-year full-time contract. Position Details
Position: Medical Officer (Contract)
Location: Bintulu, Sarawak, Malaysia
Employment Type: Full-Time (1-Year Contract)
Working Hours: 45 Hours per Week
Basic Salary: RM10,000 per month
Housing Allowance: RM2,000 per month

Key Responsibilities
Deliver professional, evidence-based, and comprehensive primary healthcare services to patients of all age groups.
Conduct patient consultations, perform clinical assessments and examinations, establish diagnoses, and formulate appropriate treatment plans.
Prescribe medications and manage patient care in accordance with established clinical guidelines and best medical practices.
Provide health education and counseling on disease prevention, treatment adherence, lifestyle modifications, and overall wellness.
Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient records in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
Monitor patient progress and ensure appropriate follow-up care to optimize health outcomes.
Collaborate effectively with nurses, allied healthcare professionals, and administrative staff to ensure seamless clinic operations and coordinated patient care.
Uphold the highest standards of medical ethics, professionalism, patient safety, and confidentiality.
Foster strong doctor–patient relationships built on trust, empathy, and effective communication.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to maintaining excellence in healthcare service delivery.

Requirements
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC).
Fully registered with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC) and possess a valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
Completion of compulsory government service, including housemanship.
Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Ability to communicate in Chinese and/or local dialects will be considered an added advantage.
Strong clinical judgment, interpersonal skills, and effective communication abilities.
A patient-focused approach with a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare services.
Positive attitude with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
