Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and professional Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care while ensuring clinical excellence, patient safety, and compliance with hospital standards. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional nursing care across various clinical disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive nursing care in accordance with established clinical standards and hospital policies.
Assess patients’ conditions and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
Monitor, record, and report patients’ vital signs and clinical progress, escalating abnormalities to the attending physician promptly.
Administer medications safely and accurately following prescribed treatment plans and hospital protocols.
Assist physicians during ward rounds, examinations, and clinical procedures.
Collect and accurately label patient specimens for laboratory investigations.
Perform wound care and dressing procedures using strict aseptic techniques.
Ensure all medical orders are completed within the assigned shift.
Promote patient comfort, dignity, privacy, and cultural sensitivity at all times.
Maintain patient safety by identifying and minimizing potential risks.
Monitor emergency equipment, controlled medications, and essential clinical supplies each shift.
Maintain accurate nursing documentation and ensure appropriate recording of medications, consumables, and medical supplies.
Participate in inventory management of clinical equipment and surgical instruments.
Report incidents promptly according to hospital policies.
Support professional development through continuous learning and training.
Assist with mortuary services in accordance with regulatory, ethical, and hospital requirements.
Perform other duties assigned by the Nursing Manager or Supervisor.
Requirements
Registered Nurse with a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
Post-basic nursing certification is an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of medical, surgical, orthopedic, or pediatric nursing care.
Good clinical assessment and analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (spoken and written).
Compassionate, caring, and patient-focused personality.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
