Job Description
Gleneagles Hospital Kuala Lumpur is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Oncology Services Manager to lead the administrative and operational management of our Oncology Department, encompassing both Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy services. As an Oncology Services Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation, strategic development, and quality enhancement of oncology services while fostering a patient-centered and high-performing healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & Service Management
Provide strategic and operational leadership for Oncology services, including Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy.
Oversee daily departmental operations to ensure seamless, efficient, and high-quality patient care delivery.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and industry best practices.
Manage workforce planning, staffing schedules, and resource allocation to meet operational demands.
Optimize the utilization of equipment, facilities, and departmental resources.
Service Development & Strategic Planning
Support the growth and expansion of Oncology services in alignment with patient needs and healthcare trends.
Identify and implement initiatives to improve service delivery, operational efficiency, and patient experience.
Contribute to capacity planning, demand forecasting, and long-term service development strategies.
Assist in budget preparation, expenditure monitoring, and cost-effective resource management.
Quality Improvement & Compliance
Lead and support continuous quality improvement initiatives across Oncology services.
Monitor departmental performance indicators and implement measures to enhance outcomes and efficiency.
Participate actively in accreditation and compliance programs, including JCI and other quality standards.
Promote a culture of excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Support staff development through coaching, mentoring, training, and performance management.
Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional work environment.
Work closely with multidisciplinary clinical and non-clinical teams to ensure effective coordination of patient services.
Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by hospital management.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Management, Health Sciences, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Candidates with a clinical background (e.g., Medical Officer, Nursing, Allied Health, or other healthcare professionals) transitioning into healthcare management are encouraged to apply.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience within a healthcare or hospital environment.
Strong interest and understanding of healthcare operations, service development, and quality management.
Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Good command of English, both written and spoken.
