Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner (Medical Officer) to provide high-quality primary healthcare services. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients, delivering professional medical consultations, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient consultations, medical examinations, and clinical assessments.
Diagnose medical conditions and prescribe appropriate treatments and medications.
Provide professional medical advice on health screening results, diagnostic findings, and treatment options.
Educate patients on disease prevention, health management, and overall wellness.
Maintain accurate and timely medical records, including diagnoses, prescriptions, treatments, and consultation notes.
Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated, patient-centred care.
Participate in case discussions and multidisciplinary case management when required.
Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), clinical guidelines, and Malaysian healthcare regulations.
Participate in rotating shift schedules, including occasional overnight shifts (1–3 times per week).
Perform other duties assigned by the Clinic Manager or Medical Director.
Qualifications
MBBS, MD, or an equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
Registered with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC).
Possess a valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
Successfully completed compulsory internship (Housemanship) and fulfilled the required post-registration clinical experience.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a general practice or primary care setting.
Excellent clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient counselling skills.
Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
