Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Medical Officer to join our Health Screening and Occupational Health Services team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for healthcare professionals who are passionate about preventive medicine, corporate wellness, and delivering high-quality occupational healthcare services.

The successful candidate will play a key role in conducting comprehensive health assessments, managing corporate health programs, supporting emergency and outpatient services, and driving initiatives that promote employee well-being and workplace health. This position also provides opportunities to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to service innovation, and support the growth of health screening programs.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Services & Occupational Health
Conduct comprehensive medical assessments and examinations for patients undergoing:
Pre-employment medical examinations
Annual and periodic health screenings
Pre-university medical assessments
Insurance-related medical evaluations
Occupational health screening programs
Evaluate patient suitability for vaccinations, referral services, health promotion initiatives, and other screening programs as required.
Provide clinical support to Emergency Room physicians and outpatient clinics when necessary.
Support the development, implementation, and management of health screening packages, occupational health initiatives, and wellness programs.
Deliver evidence-based medical recommendations and ensure high standards of patient care throughout the screening process.
Medical Reporting & Administrative Responsibilities
Ensure the timely completion, review, and submission of medical reports, including interpretation of findings and appropriate recommendations.
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
Monitor departmental performance indicators and contribute to the achievement of quality standards and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Prepare and present regular reports, scorecards, and operational updates as required.
Collaborate with the Health Screening Manager to review existing workflows, protocols, and procedures to enhance efficiency, quality, and patient experience.
Corporate Health Program Management
Oversee and coordinate all aspects of corporate health and occupational health programs.
Review and evaluate screening practices, clinical protocols, and operational procedures to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
Monitor adherence to agreed health programs and facilitate appropriate follow-up actions.
Analyze health trends, identify areas for improvement, and recommend strategies to enhance program outcomes and service delivery.
Corporate Engagement & Health Promotion
Work closely with the Corporate Marketing team to develop customized health screening packages tailored to various industries and organizational needs.
Conduct health talks, educational seminars, and wellness programs at client premises as part of comprehensive health promotion initiatives.
Support the promotion and marketing of health screening services through pre-sales activities and program implementation.
Provide medical expertise and assessments to support organizational marketing and business development initiatives.
Education, Training & Professional Development
Assist in the training and development of healthcare staff by sharing medical knowledge, industry best practices, and updates in occupational health services.
Stay informed of advancements in medical practices, screening protocols, and regulatory requirements relevant to the role.
Participate actively in Continuous Medical Education (CME) activities and maintain membership in relevant professional organizations.

Requirements
Possess a Medical Degree from a university recognized by the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC).
Minimum five (5) years of experience working as a Medical Officer in a hospital setting.
A postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health registered with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) will be an added advantage.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; proficiency in three languages will be highly advantageous.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Sound knowledge of cost management, budgeting, and healthcare analytics.
Working knowledge of occupational health regulations and standards, including OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, FMLA, and DOSH requirements.
Experience in Occupational Health Services and an understanding of workers’ compensation case management and related regulations will be preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a strong commitment to quality, patient safety, and service excellence.
